HOW DOES GOD SPEAK & WHY PRAY?
How God Speaks
God speaks through His Word (2 Tim 3:16), by the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), in prayer (Rom 8:26), creation (Ps 19:1), dreams/visions (Acts 2:17), life’s challenges (Ps 119:67), praise and worship
(Ps 100), and through pastors, teachers, and Spirit-filled friends (Eph 4:15).
Why Pray
Prayer draws us closer to God (Ps 27:4), brings peace (Phil 4:7), wisdom (James 1:5), protection from temptation (Matt 26:41), guidance, and strength. It allows God’s power to move in your life—changing situations, defeating the enemy, and releasing His will (1 John 5:14, Matt 6:10).
Prayer Changes Things
God hears and answers when we pray according to His will. He calls us to “pray continually”
(1 Thess 5:17).
Relationship with God
Above all, what matters most is knowing God through Jesus Christ. He forgives, heals, restores, and gives eternal life. This relationship is the foundation of a life of freedom, victory, and purpose.
