WHAT IS PRAYER?

 Prayer is simply a conversation with God, and   it’s one of our greatest rights and privileges. 

John 16:23-24 says

New King James Version

23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father (God) in My name (Jesus) He will give you. 

24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

When you pray, you can ask God Your Father to meet your every need
(or the needs of others). Then thank Him and praise Him...

The Bible tells us to pray about everything and anything, all the time

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 says 

New King James Version

16 Rejoice always, 

17 pray without ceasing, 

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

 

HOW SHOULD I PRAY?

THE NAME OF JESUS IS THE KEY THAT OPENS HEAVEN'S DOOR TO YOUR PRAYER'S

When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10,13), God becomes your Heavenly Father and you his Child (Galatians 4:6). You have the privilege and right to have a two-way conversation with your Heavenly Father (Jeremiah 33:3), asking Him anything according to His will - His word, the Bible, (1 John 5:14-15 ) and making sure to pray in the name of Jesus (John 14:13,14). Expect God to answer your prayers and He will bring his transforming, miraculous power and grace into your life and situations (Matthew 7:8, Luke 18:27).

How you talk to God is up to you. You don’t have to use big words, careful sentences, kneel, stand or do anything special. Just be yourself.
