DEVELOPING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Be Practical
Find a quiet place daily. Remove distractions and focus on God.
Be Thankful
Begin with thanksgiving and praise (Psalm 100:4). Thank Him for salvation, health, family, work, and daily provision (Philippians 4:6). Thanksgiving makes you more aware of His presence (Psalm 95:2).
Worship
Worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). In His presence, fear and limits fall away, and freedom reigns (John 8:36).
Come Boldly
Through the blood of Jesus, enter God’s throne room (Hebrews 4:16). Cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and believe He hears and answers (Matthew 7:7).
Pray God’s Word
Pray in line with Scripture, for He watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Jesus gave us the model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 — covering daily needs, forgiveness, protection, and God’s Kingdom purposes.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
